Low-Position Robotic Carton Palletizer – Automatic Case Stacking System

Fully automatic low-position robotic carton palletizer for beverage, food, pharma and daily-chemical lines. PLC-controlled case grouping and multi-layer pallet stacking up to 500 cartons/hour, with brand-name core parts and a double-station option for turnkey end-of-line packaging.

Engineered as a core end-of-line module for turnkey packaged drinking water and beverage production lines, this low-position robotic carton palletizer automatically groups filled cartons into preset patterns and stacks them layer by layer onto pallets. Purpose-built for high-throughput factories across Central Asia, Africa, Southeast Asia and South America, it takes over the heaviest part of the packing hall so your team can focus on quality, not lifting.

Overview

The unit receives cartons from the upstream conveyor, aligns and columns them, then lifts and places them onto the pallet in multiple layers until a complete stack is formed. Full pallets are then removed by forklift for warehouse storage. Intelligent program control keeps the whole cycle simple to run and easy for local operators to master, cutting on-site manpower and physical strain while raising the automation level of both production and logistics.

Carton dimensions are fully customizable to the customer’s product, and the pallet footprint is set according to the chosen stacking arrangement, so the machine adapts to your existing packaging rather than forcing you to change it.

Key Features

  • PLC programmable intelligence – A Mitsubishi (Japan) PLC governs carton sorting and layer stacking through preset recipes for accurate, repeatable and reliable palletizing.
  • Full-perimeter safety – A protective fence encloses the working zone to shield operators from moving parts during automatic cycles.
  • Centralized control cabinet – All electrical parts are integrated into one cabinet, with start, stop, emergency-stop and reset buttons laid out for clear, intuitive manual control.
  • Labor-saving throughput – Steady high-efficiency stacking sharply reduces manual handling and long-term labor cost.
  • Quiet operation – Running noise stays below 75dB, meeting national standards for a comfortable workshop.
  • Brand-name core parts – Omron (Japan) photoelectric sensors, Mitsubishi (Japan) frequency inverter and Airtac (Taiwan, China) pneumatics deliver low failure rates and durable performance.

What’s Included

  • Product infeed and sorting device
  • Lifting and palletizing device
  • Manual empty pallet loading station
  • Full pallet forklift discharge station

How It Works

1. Finished Product Infeed

Cartons travel along the top chain conveyor to the gripper position following the preset pattern, where they are aligned and squared. Positioning cylinders on the conveyor split the cartons into columns per the program so the gripper can pick them up accurately and steadily.

2. Automatic Palletizing

Once a column of cartons is assembled, the lifting mechanism moves the gripping fixture above them, descends to clamp the cartons, lifts smoothly and shifts horizontally to the pallet. It then lowers again and lays the cartons onto the outer row of the pallet to finish one cycle. Lifting and fore-aft travel of the palletizing unit are driven by a motor-and-chain transmission system.

3. Pallet Handling

  • Empty pallets are placed manually at the loading position ready for stacking.
  • When the pallet reaches its preset number of layers, the completed stack is driven out by forklift.

Double-Station Palletizing Cell (Grouped Equipment)

For plants that need two palletizing positions on one line, the double-station cell pairs an industrial robot with dedicated palletizing software and an empty-pallet stacking system. A touch screen, multiple sensors and a small set of push buttons deliver friendly human-machine interaction and straightforward, customizable operation across varied production scenarios.

Function Highlights

  • Effortless station operation – during normal production, operators only press reservation buttons and swap pallets.
  • Dual-station reservation – one-click switching between the two palletizing stations.
  • Automatic carton scanning & coding to lower manual coding errors.
  • Fast batch changeover directly from the touch screen.
  • High output – standard throughput up to 500 cartons per hour.
  • Real-time signal feedback – every sensor state is displayed live for quick fault diagnosis.
